When God's People Pray
I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I still get surprised by God’s answers to prayers. It’s not that I haven’t experienced his answers before, I have, frequently. And it’s not that I doubt that he hears us, I am certain that he does. It’s just that when he does move in a clearly visible way, I am so overwhelmed with his graciousness.
I’ve had a couple of those experiences these past few weeks. A week before our last men's conference we had a total of three people signed up. It’s not that I am obsessed with numbers, but with those numbers, I was seriously questioning whether we were really in the will of God. We brought this before our team and our intercessors and I felt we were to proceed with whatever God had for us. We didn’t pray for numbers, we prayed that God would open the door for those he wanted to touch, and that he would anoint our message to accomplish his great purpose.
WOW! He shook our socks off. Almost forty men showed up, and more importantly, were touched by the very hand of God. Kneeling before our King, weeping, singing; so many have shared stories of how God restored hope, re-committed passions, and even began redeeming marriages and relationships.
And then today I had an interview on a The Harvest Show, a national television show. My neck has been causing some pretty significant pain from a ruptured disc, and I was quite concerned about the flight to the studio as well as whether I could even sit still for an interview. This was also a live interview. I was honestly experiencing some significant anxiety as I have felt that in previous live interviews I have allowed myself to get distracted from the message that I wanted to share. So once again, we contacted every prayer warrior that I could think of.
The flight out was nothing short of miraculous, as on both flights I found myself seated n areas with extra room for me to move. Then on the show itself, I honestly felt almost no discomfort. And the hosts, Kelly and Chuck were amazing, asking great questions and giving me ample time to speak my heart.
Which brings me to our next need: as you can imagine, the battles are intensifying, and we need you. We would like to develop a more formal intercessory team of seasoned prayer warriors, men and women that will commit to going to battle with us. We envision this as a team that we could communicate with on a regular basis as issues and needs arise. If you would be willing to give us the honor of your sword please visit our web site, www.knightvisionministries.com and sign up on the front page under the prayer team tab.
And then pray. The battle is upon us, and our King is just waiting for us to call. Until next time, fight well.
To the King,
David
