"I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat.  When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot about me."  Hosea 13:5-6

When do we seek out God's involvement in our lives?  Can anyone other than me relate to this particular passage of scripture?

There seems to be something to this idea of personal prosperity and spiritual poverty as identified by William Peel in his book "What God Does When Men Pray."  Although his example is more from a financial perspective, I believe that it translates well into all faucets of modern day life.  Need proof?  Think about the quality of your prayer life during times of conflict and times of prosperity.  Is there a difference between the two?
