1 Cor 2;9 hang in there

The past couple of weeks have been tough ones for me personally and as it stands right now, this week isn't looking much better.  It isn't that my life is full of doom and gloom or has even become hopeless - it is just that the battles that are taking place right now are those of a very personal nature.  These type of battles are well outside of my comfort level, but then again, I don't imagine that these types of issues are within anyone's comfort level.

The evil one would really like me to believe at times like these that the situations are hopeless, are never going to come to fruition, are never going to be resolved and that relying on my faith during times like this are in vain and without merit.  If I am being honest, it is exactly times like this when I am not a quick as I normally am to dismiss the words of the evil one....

A friend sent me a text today that read "1 Cor 2:9, hang in there".  That was all that it said.  Seems it was enough as it caused me to remember a couple of other passages with this subject matter in mind.  I thought that I would share them with you as I know that I am not the only one who needs these reminders on occasion.  I hope that they are a comfort to you, just as they have been a comfort to me.

"However, as it is written: 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him'" (1 Corinthians 2:9)

"But thanks be to God!  He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:57)

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ...." (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Notice the tense on these....

Your down, but not out, brother in Christ,

Jim

Great to remember these truths. God is with us and will work out His purposes in our lives, no matter how bleak our circumstances appear.
