Nicely written. I agree. Plus, I think there is something uniquely renewing about rain, spiritually and naturally.

A while back you encouraged me by reminding me that Paul asked God to remove the thorn in his flesh and God told Paul that His grace was sufficient for Paul. I held onto that and leaned on it many times since then. Today, you encourage me by giving me another reminder of hope that although I am hurting and it is dark, my blind eyes will see. You very well could probably fix my struggles Jim but I believe that you are doing what God wants and needs you to do the most...keep pointing me back to Him, keep reminding me to lean on Him, keep praying for me to The One who will restore my blind eyes. That is the man that God made you to be and who I need to walk with me. I know its hard Jim...I see the pain on your face as I struggle but I believe with all of me that greatness will come out of this and all that we are going through will become a great testimony, some day. I hurt and I am tired and I am worn down but I believe with all of me that God is holding me up and when I cant see that, He uses you to remind me. That is the husband and friend that I need. Thank you so much for your unconditional love and support. You are such a great man of God and I am blessed that you walk your life with me. I love you, forever.

This would be that little verse tucked in the middle of Psalms "Be still and know that I AM GOD and I will be exalted in the nations". Not only is the rest and stillness a gift from Him, He commands us to take those times so we can see more clearly who He is and to listen to His praises resound. There is great victory in the stillness and great strength in the rest.

Thank you so much for this timely reminder. The next month for me and the Go Deeper Still Women's Conference team has the potential to be absolutely draining or overwhelmingly refreshing. I choose to be filled to over flowing!

I cannot tell you in words how deeply this speaks to me. God has spent much time with me attempting to show me the destruction that has followed me throughout my entire life which now has a death grip on my adult son that is a result of this very thing. When the Lord awakend me to this about myself, He litertally lifted me out of the pit I was in and began to teach me TRUTH.... The damage to my sons life, just as it was in my own, I believe began at the moment his dad and his parents found out I was pregnant. At that time I feel that they came into an agreement with the enemy by agreeing with his voice that my son had no right to exist. His very existence smeared the canvas she ( his grandmother ), sought to create. The enemy entered in at that point and began a mission to destroy my son by infecting him through their attitudes and actions the root to the destructive choices he makes pertaining to his life that the enemy knew would abort his destiny. These voices are often the loudest ones when speaking out about abortion. Never realizing that the blood of the abortionist will be on their own hands when they continually refuse any attempt at reconciling their wrongs while being sure to pat themselves on the back as they make mention of the prayers they pray for these individuals.

This hit home for me, maybe because I empathize with having broken a screwdriver myself or can see my own brokeness and how far growth has taken me and others I care about.

Very cool Roy. It is an amzing thing when we see the hand of God in our lives in the midst of the brokeness.

Great thoughts David. I encourage all of us to consider what is meant by "prosper" sometimes that can mean being broke and jobless. God is about using our lives in whatever way he needs to.
